Visitor access control · by Eighty Eight Technologies

Know who is in your building. Exactly.

A visitor registers from a link. Their host vouches for them, security clears them, and a signed QR pass governs every crossing of the gate — in and out — with a live list of everyone inside, ready to print the moment an alarm sounds.

The book by the door

A paper visitor book cannot tell you who is still inside

It is filled in on the way in and forgotten on the way out. Half the names are illegible. Nobody signs out. When the fire alarm goes and the warden asks who is unaccounted for, the honest answer is that nobody knows — and that is the one moment the book existed for.

Guard Dash replaces it with something that closes the loop: a pass that has to be scanned to get in, and scanned again to get out.

How it works

Four steps, two of them by a person who knows the visitor

  1. 01

    They register from a link

Printed on the gate signage or sent by their host. No app, no account, no password. A minute of typing.

  2. 02

    Their host confirms

The employee they named checks that they are actually expected. Nobody gets in on a name they read off an email signature.

  3. 03

    Security clears them

A second pair of eyes decides whether they come in. Approving mints a pass and emails the QR immediately.

  4. 04

    The gate does the rest

Scan on the way in, scan on the way out. Your board always knows who is inside.

The idea

The guard never chooses a direction, so the guard can never choose wrong

Issued→ scan →On site→ scan →Departed→ scan →Refused

A scan does not mean check in, and it does not mean check out. It means advance this pass, and the system decides which from the state the pass is already in. That single decision removes a whole class of mistakes: nobody is checked in twice, nobody is checked out before they arrived, and a pass that has already been used to enter and leave simply stops working.

One thing is deliberately never refused: leaving. A visitor who overstays their window can always scan out. Refusing that would only mean your board claims somebody is inside when they are already in the car park.

What you get

Built as a security system, not a sign-in sheet

Evacuation roll-call

One tap prints everyone currently inside, with their host and phone number. For a plant floor this alone is worth the licence.

Nothing to install

The scanner runs in a browser. Any phone or wall tablet becomes a gate reader. No readers to buy, no app to roll out.

A pass that cannot be shared

Every QR is signed, time-boxed, and single-visit. A forwarded screenshot fails at the desk, and the guard is told why.

ID checked at the desk

A valid QR proves somebody holds the pass. Confirming the last four digits of their IC proves it is them.

An audit log that resists editing

Every approval, scan, and refusal is chained by hash. Removing or altering an entry breaks every entry after it.

PDPA handled

Versioned consent captured at registration, and personal data anonymised automatically once your retention period is up.

Try it

Walk into a working system, mid-afternoon

Not a video and not a slideshow. You get a signed-in seat in the real product, with visitors already on site, passes waiting to be scanned, and a queue that needs a decision. Pick who you want to be.

Pricing

Priced on visitors a day, invoiced every month

You are never charged per employee. Every member of staff should be available as a host — that is the step that makes the system secure, and charging for it would only discourage you from using it.

Invoiced monthly in advance, payable by bank transfer on 30-day terms. Go over your daily number and the system tells you — it never stops issuing passes. A gate that stops working over an invoice is not a gate anybody should buy.
